The ramblings and mumblings of a wannabe poker pro

Feck Off!

No, not you my dear readers… I am simply pissed off with how I have been running these last few days.

Here’s the story :

Beyond a fecking joke!

  1. Chin up, you seem to be playing fine. Keep making good decisions and the results will follow.

I know what you’re going through – The downswings / variance are tough – but the winning players are those that don’t let it affect their emotions. If you don’t, you will tilt, play bad, lose even more, tilt even more…etc. We’ve all been there – I’ve had a very tilty couple of weeks myself, and have only just come through it and got my “A” game back.

    GL 🙂

  2. I’m feeling good actually and rather excited about my game now.

During the discussion in the thread (linked above), I was advised to step up to the next limit, and thats all I needed a bit of a confirmation of my abilities and I’m going for it, if not before (I might not be able to wait) I will be playing the $5 sit-n-go’s as soon as I can re-deposit more funds to pad out my existing bankroll to $170 – $200, to keep my within the realms of a managed bankroll.

Thanks for the support I appreciate.

It really is a beautiful game isn’t it 🙂

  3. Moving up is probably a good idea. My bankroll doesn’t allow for it but I think I will do the same. I’ve had success in the past at $5, $10 even $30 SNG’s (although won’t be on the $10, $30 for a long while yet) so I know I can play at these levels but it’s the consistency I need.

You will get a better player at these levels and hopefully this will see you in good stead as to where you see your game play is at.

  4. Thanks, I’ve had two games at the new level today, I didn’t play great in either, but did okay.

The first was a disaster, I was card dead throughout, the second was a very welcome surprise where I had plenty of premium hands to get my teeth into, but after my queens running into aces 3 handed, i still only made 2nd place.
