The ramblings and mumblings of a wannabe poker pro

Wheres my rush?

I’m beginning to feel I’m jinxed in these cash games, I’m surrounded by crazy people raking in loads of huge pots and I’m constantly being let down. Here’s 3 key hands, which occurred in quick succession and all of them fail me :

  1. Pretty tough hands there. Look on the bright side this horrible luck can’t possibly last. Or can it? lol.

  2. Its just a pain, I moved on to cash games to get a break from my terrible luck in the Sit-N-Go’s and my bad luck comes on holiday with me, no fair :p

  3. These things happen. You’re not going to win everytime when you have a decent hand. Just know that if you continue to play solid poker, sooner or later those strong hands you’re playing and the poor hands your opponents are playing, will pay you off long term. It’s times like these that will either make or break you. It’s not how you handle the successes but how you handle the downswings is what makes you a success in poker. Just stay positive in knowing that you’re making the right moves it’s just that you’re running a little cold right now. Whatever you do….DO NOT LOSE YOUR HEAD AND GO ON TILT!

  4. I held it together and finished with a slight profit, not great but as before simply happy I finished ahead rather then behind.

Played for around 5 hours today and I think I kept my cool well despite loosing those big hands and then being card dead for hours at either end of those hands, which is nice and hopefully well help me to keep my cool when I get back to some Sit-N-Go’s, I’m missing the daily build of FPP’s, I’ve only earned one in the cash games in over 15 hours of play!

  5. These are standard coolers, but you played them pretty well and lost the minimum. Ok you didn’t win the hands, but you should be pleased you lost the minimum with them. If you can win the maximum when you dominate them, that’s how you’ll be winning in the long run.
